2019 WORLD MASTERS
The USCTA looks forward to hosting the 2019 World Masters Amateur Championships in May of 2019.
We plan to hold the Championships from Saturday, May 11 through Friday, May 24 of 2019. The competition begins with the 50s/55s and 70s/75s individual championships running concurrently in New York and Newport, respectively. Those age bracket singles and doubles events will run from May 11 to May 14.
Team practices will begin on Tuesday, May 14 with competition beginning two days later, on May 16. The Cockram (50+) competition will be held in New York and the Bostwick (60+) and Danby (70+) competitions will be held together in Tuxedo Park. We look forward to hosting a World Masters Sporting Day and Awards Dinner for all teams on Sunday, May 19 in Tuxedo Park. There will be transportation for Cockram players and guests so that everyone can enjoy a day of the sporting and leisure that Tuxedo Park offers. In their entirety, the team events will run from May 14 to May 19.
The 60s/65s individual championships will be the final part of the 2019 World Masters Amateur Championships, and will be held May 20-24 in Philadelphia.
All of these dates are based on extrapolation from draw sizes, team entries, and the very successful approaches used in Australia in January of 2017. We have developed this diagram to summarize the anticipated flow of on-court and off-court events.

Tournament Organizer, 2019 World Masters
Question: Can women play in the 2019 World Masters competition?
Answer: Yes, with the exception that we are unable to accommodate female players at our New York club. Prior communications indicate there will likely be no female competitors in the 50s, 55s, or Cockram events, and the expected draw sizes necessitate using our sole two-court venue. The other three venues being used present no such restriction.
Question: Will there be billeting for those who are interested?
Answer: Yes, we intend to meet requests for billeting at all venues except New York, where we will suggest other cost-effective lodging options.
