The Fifth Annual Lakewood Invitational at Jay Gould’s Georgian Court (Georgian Court University, 900 Lakewood Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701)
Format: Informal Doubles organized in two flights. Players should expect to play two or three times each, if they like.
When: Saturday, September 21st from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Other Events: Dinner can be organized at a local restaurant Saturday night for those interested, but we didn’t get a very enthusiastic turnout last year so we may skip it this year.
Fee: $35. Includes court fees and a donation for maintenance of the Lakewood court. Lunch is on your own this year–plenty of options around. Otherwise, we may be forced to use the school’s catering department at much higher cost.
Lodging: Players are responsible for their own lodging. There are Best Western, Hilton and Sheraton Hotels nearby. The court is an easy day trip from New York, Philadelphia, Princeton or the rest of central NJ, so it’s time to visit those friends you can never get around to visiting.
